An associate of Midlothian Animal Clinic since 1997, Dr. Freidrich grew up in Fairfax County, Virginia, and graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1978. He received a Master of Science Degree in Zoology (Physiology) from Miami University in 1980. He then pursued a veterinary career at Ohio State University and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. Dr. Freidrich then spent a years' internship at New Haven Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, before returning to his beloved Virginia in 1985. He has practiced in the Richmond area since his return.

Dr. Freidrich currently lives in Richmond with his dog, Phoebe. He enjoys playing racquetball and fly-fishing. Professionally, he is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association, Richmond Academy, Virginia Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association.
