image01692Pets perceive and feel pain as people do, however, since a pet’s instinct is to hide and conceal pain our doctors and staff are trained to recognize subtle signs of pain that may not be obvious at home.  We seek to manage your pet’s pain to keep him comfortable and happy.  We treat pain comprehensively through:

  • combinations of non steroidal anti-inflammatories,
  • narcotics, steroids, neutraceuticals,
  • environmental changes,
  • physical therapy and supportive care
  • Therapeutic Laser
  • Acupuncture

Therapeutic laser treatment has been a miracle for many pets suffering with chronic pain. Laser Treatment reduces swelling in joints and soft tissue, which lessens pain and promotes healing in chronic conditions as well as acute injury or trauma or following surgical procedures. Laser therapy provides additional comfort for arthritic pets whose pain is not completely controlled with other treatments and may reduce the need for oral medications

Recommendations for weight loss or alternative therapies including acupuncture may also be made.
