Dr. Alison Rhoades - Veterinarian

An associate of Midlothian Animal Clinic since 1998, Dr. Rhoades was born in Michigan but grew up in Northern Virginia with her parents, her sister, and a house full of dogs.

In 1993, she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Hollins College with a B.A. in Biology and a double minor in Chemistry and History. Dr. Rhoades then attended VA/MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1997 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. (GO HOKIES!!) She practiced in a mixed animal practice in North Carolina for a year before joining MAC. In addition to internal medicine, Dr. Rhoades has a special interest in Oncology.

Dr. Rhoades lives with her daughter, Madeline, and Vivi, the Wonder Poodle. She enjoys playing soccer, swimming, horseback riding, traveling, and baking in her spare time. Professionally, she is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Central Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, Richmond Academy American Association of Feline Practitioners, and the American Animal Hospital Association.
