What are we doing here at MAC to prevent the spread of COVID-19?

  • Staff washes hands hourly and after every interaction with clients & patients. Wash for a full 20 seconds using soap and water.
  • Each exam room is cleaned between every appointment with bleach solution or Rescue Cleaner.
  • Clean workstations (keyboards, phones, mice) three times a day.
  • No clients will be allowed inside building except for euthanasias. During this time, staff will ensure six feet of distance at all times.
  • Segregate areas for exams, work in teams to minimize situations where staff is in closer proximity than six feet.
  • Use latex gloves when taking trash, wash hands after removing gloves.
  • Masks are to be worn at all times when interacting with clients. If inside the hospital, masks will be worn if staff cannot maintain 6 feet of distance.
  • Mid-day and at end of day, hospital is mopped with hospital-grade disinfectant.
  • In addition to washing hands hourly, hands need to be washed after any of these situations/interactions occur:
o After blowing one’s nose, coughing, or sneezing.
